Start a Program
Next Girl Up is a 10-week, no-cost program that introduces girls to marketing, entrepreneurship, and finance. It’s designed for facilitators at schools, youth organizations, and community groups to run with their students.
Our program was created by marketing and business pros. It’s been broken down into bite-sized lessons with real-world examples to keep high school students interested and engaged.
How Each Week Works
Each week follows the same fun and approachable format. Here’s what you can expect:
Start with an Icebreaker
We start with something light to get everyone comfortable. This could be a fun writing prompt, a quick trivia game, or a confidence-boosting challenge. It’s all about helping everyone get to know each other better and build trust.
Learn the Topic of the Week
Then we get into the week’s focus. Facilitators make it interactive and easy to follow. No boring lectures or long-winded textbooks, we promise!
Work Through a Real-Life Case Study
Finally, we put it into practice. You’ll work through real examples, like figuring out why a brand campaign worked or solving a business challenge. It’s all about connecting the dots between what you’ve learned and how it works in the real world.
Time Commitment
Students
Plan to spend 1.5–2 hours each week reviewing the curriculum.

Facilitators
You can expect to spend up to 5 hours per week reviewing materials, preparing, and leading the session.
Requirements
A facilitator who is over the age of 25 and able to pass a background check
A facilitator who can dedicate up to 5 hours per week to review materials and lead sessions
At least 3 students who are committed to participating
Students with access to the internet and a laptop
A quiet, reliable space that can comfortably fit your group
A big whiteboard for brainstorming and sharing ideas (optional, but helpful!)
The Curriculum
The program is split into two phases that take students from the basics to real-world practice. We mix in the latest tools, trends, tech, and AI practices. Case studies and exercises are consistently updated, so everything is always fresh and relevant. Students receive welcome kits, certificates of completion, and access to a national network of women!

We make sure every facilitator feels confident and prepared, regardless of their marketing and entrepreneurship experience. Every facilitator will receive access to our Facilitator Portal, an online hub you can log into anytime. Inside, you’ll find everything you need to lead each week’s session, including:
